On January 1st 2012, the Sonia Noel Foundation for Creative Arts (SNFCA) will be launched. The SNFCA’s main purpose would be the development of the Creative Industries within Guyana and the wider Caribbean. It is with this foundation that we hope to nurture raw talent in dance, drama, visual arts, acting, fashion, photograph, and other creative energies in hopes of developing the specific art forms.

The SNFCA will also foster new relationships and ties with the countries of the English, French, Spanish and Dutch Caribbean territories though the Creative Arts. With in the past decade, the creative industries have been called the driving force of international economies as television, music and performances events have become the preferred form of relaxation creating a multi-billion dollar industry. Creative talents within the Caribbean is now under the microscope as the new Mecca for entertainment, given the advent of Rihanna ( Barbadian Vocalist) and Anya Ayoung- Chee (Trinidadian Designer) . With that in mind, we find it necessary to empower young creative talent through positive development and activities.
